It has followed in 2016 with an intense information gathering phase, learning about what this congregation is looking for in a new minister, and what our hopes and dreams are for the future.

Then, during the winter of 2017, the search team will interview many candidates and select one candidate to be our next minister.

After that service all members and friends are invited to meet the candidate during fellowship hour.

Throughout the week, a series of pot-luck dinners, small group meetings, and a few larger gatherings will be held.

Those events will give every church member an opportunity to meet the candidate in an informal setting, to hear from him/her, and ask questions.

While everyone is welcome to attend any event, we expect you will select an event that best fits your schedule.

It is an exciting and stressful process as a congregation and a ministerial candidate think deeply and reach clarity about whether the match and the opportunity are right for both. Carlos’s own ambivalence about the move to Seattle.

The Search Team put a lot of emphasis on the congregation’s role in assessing whether WSUU and Rev. The Board’s first priority is the health and viability of our congregation – as a community and an organization.

Reverend Sarah comes to us after serving as the settled minister at the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Hudson Valley since August 2013.She was ordained as a UU minister in April 2013 and granted Final Fellowship with the UUA in February 2017.
